ACCREDITATION
Amatus Kids Academy is a provisional member of the S.A. Childcare Association and is awaiting final registration by the Department of Social Services and related departments.
A SMALL SCHOOL WITH A BIG HEART
Amatus Kids Academy is a small school with big hopes for each of their childrens’ academic outcomes. Concentrating on education from a tender young age is vitally important and lessons start from as young as 14 months. We make learning a fun experience with different themes every week.

The staff of Amatus Kids Academy place great priority on enhancing childrens’ social and emotional growth, encouraging their natural curiosity and enthusiasm toward learning. Classes are kept small to no more than 15 children per class, with class ratios of 10:1. This further promotes the individual attention of each student, helping a diverse child to flourish and grow.
The home-from-home Academy is set in Gie Road, Sunridge providing a child-friendly and serene environment for the children who attend our Academy.
The students enjoy gross motor activities like Tumbling Tigerz and Body Rock dance lessons. The school believes in facilitating such activities to promote rounded educational approaches.

POLICIES
We are a Christian School
We are not a Church School and do not subscribe to any one Church’s doctrines. We have scripture readings in our daily schedule and encourage teacher involvement.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The school has a detailed Code of Conduct which a Parent, on behalf of the learner, is required to sign. Nothing shall exempt a student from complying with the School rules. Ignorance of School rules is not an acceptable excuse.
The Code of Conduct is intended to establish a disciplined and purposeful environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning at the school.

CLASS SIZE
We have an average of 10 learners per class, our Preschool Penguins class is 15 children
FACULTY
We have 3 full-time teachers and a Grade R teacher / facilitator who is registered with the South African Council of Educators (SACE).
LEARNER-TO-EDUCATOR RATIO
Our learner to educator ratio averages 10:1.
RESULTS
All our Grade R graduates are now excelling in higher grades
EXTRA MURAL ACTIVITIES
Our main goal is academic achievement and maintaining small numbers in support of our learning approaches. Our students have the opportunity to participate in Tumbling Tigerz and/or Body Rock dance classes.
